Competition Companies
Extended Competition Company is an audition-only company for dancers of beginning to intermediate-level skills and requires a moderate level of time and financial commitment from the dancer and family.
Company members will be required to attend one workshop and two regional competitions. Regional competitions are usually within a 5-hour drive and may require a hotel stay. Workshops may be in-house clinics, local workshops or conventions. Company members are not required to attend a national competition, but have the option of competing there. There is a monthly fee of $30 for members.
Advanced Ensemble is an audition-only company for dancers of advanced skills for their age. Ensemble members must attend a minimum of three clinics, two regional competitions and one national competition. Regional competitions are usually within a 2-8 hour drive and national competitions are often out of state. This ensemble requires a substantial level of time and financial commitment from the dancer and family and is usually geared towards students interested in a career in dance performance and/or education. There is a monthly fee of $40 for members.

- Jazz and ballet technique classes are required.
- Quality dance camps, clinics and related disciplines (such as acro, music and drama) are encouraged.
- Clinicians may be hired to conduct workshops and provide choreography; costs will be shared by company members.
Costume Information
Costumes and accessories will be ordered in early fall for competition companies. Company members are required to pay a costume deposit at the beginning of the year and some costumes will be custom made. Company members are also required to get specific styles and colors of shoes and tights. See Performances : Dancewear & Costumes for additional information.
