Ann Buehler

Ann holds a BFA in Dance and a BS in Education. She has produced numerous junior and senior age regional and national champions and professional performers. With almost 20 years of professional teaching experience, she is well-known as a clinician and adjudicator for her technical expertise. She has professional experience as a ballet company member of Ballet Arkansas, musical touring companies, theme parks and was a state talent winner with the Miss America program. "Miss Ann" teaches a variety of dance techniques including Vaganova (Russian) ballet technique. Her dances have received overall choreography honors at regional and national competitions. She has also been honored by Co Dance as Teacher of the Year three years running and was 2004 National Lyrical Teacher of the Year. Dance Teacher magazine featured her studio as one of the top 50 "Studios On The Move" in the nation for 2006-2007.


Toma Tisdale

Ballet

Toma was born in the Ukraine and was chosen at the age of 9 to attend a special ballet school in Voronezh where she lived and studied under master teachers. After graduation she danced with the Odessa Theatre of Opera and Ballet and the Moscow State Concert Ballet where she was featured in ballets such as Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Sleeping Beauty, Little Red Riding Hood, and The Nutcracker. She retired from the stage in 1991 and since then has been a highly sought after choreographer and master teacher.

 

 


Laura Rose

Dance, Pilates

Laura Rose started studying dance in the St. Louis area when she was 3 years old.  She was the recipient of numerous regional and national awards as a teenager and spent summers studying dance with Tremaine in Los Angeles.  Her first professional job was dancing for Disney in their national tour of "Pocahontas".  Since then Laura has performed in many other major productions including Andy Williams, Shoji Tabuchi and Legends in Branson.
 
Laura has been teaching dance since she was 15 and her choreography has won awards at a number of conventions and competitions.  After 2 years of rigorous training and study, she was recently honored with certification as a Pilates trainer and will be leading our Pilates classes as well as dance.

Kimberly Alvarez
Kim started power tumbling at the age of 4, became a student of Miss Ann’s at 6 and has been teaching since she was 12. She has won a number of regional and national titles and scholarships, including being named 2006 Senior Dancer of the Year at Rainbow Connection nationals. Kim enjoys singing and acting as well as dancing and has performed in Springfield Little Theater productions. Recently, she recorded a demo CD and assisted Brian Friedman at Broadway Dance Center's Summer Intensive. Kim is an honor roll student and a member of her high school dance team.

Lyndsey Lassley
Lyndsey discovered ballet at 8, competitive dance at 11 and  has been teaching dance since she was 12. She has performed in a variety of roles at Springfield Little Theater productions and has been recognized with numerous convention scholarships as well as overall Top 10 finishes at regional and national competitions. Lyndsey is a second year member of her high school dance team and won the honor of being named NDA All American. She also plays violin in the orchestra, on the Yearbook Staff, a Peer Mediator and holds a 4.0 GPA.

Nick Palmquist
A gymnast as well as an accomplished dancer, Nick has won many regional and national convention scholarships and competition titles including Mr. Teen Starpower and Mr. Teen Showbiz. He loves teaching and has been doing it for three years. Nick is an honor roll student at his high school.
